A Marketing and Communication Agency in Lekki, Lagos is looking to hire a Senior Strategist and Media Planner
Primary Responsibilities
Works alongside agency cross-functional teams to develop fully integrated traditional and digital marketing strategies and solutions that deliver on our clients’ business and marketing objectives.
Provide consultation and guidance on various areas of marketing communications (web/digital/social/mobile/TV/Outdoor etc.)
Lead the planning and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and platforms, including social media, email, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, websites/landing pages, CRM/automation, video and emerging technologies.
Work with account teams to help define scope and recommended approach for marketing and advertisement projects.
Act as the main point of contact to assigned accounts for all assigned client related deliverable.
Develop unique strategies and build upon current client strategies within the media arena to meet/exceed client objectives.
Oversees auditing of clients’ existing marketing efforts and develops strategies and tactics for optimization.
Identify key trends and insights to make business decisions.
Ensuring that advertising messages align with client or company objectives.
Monitoring the performance of online and offline advertising campaigns and
reporting the results to relevant stakeholders.
Researching the current media landscape and keeping up to date with the latest
media trends.
Determining the most suitable media mix given the nature of each client’s business,
budget and preferred advertising media.
Building and maintaining relationships with clients, advertising platforms and media
influencers.
Work with cross-functional teams including other media specialists to plan,
implement, and improve account performance aligned with client goals and
initiatives.
Proactively manage relationships with media vendors and social platforms
Provide benchmark and tracking reports to Account Managers, Clients, and Media Team on key performance indicators and provide insights on how they map to larger client goals.
Analyze trends and improve media performance based on the client’s KPIs .
Key Requirements
5+ years of media planning and buying experience with at least one of the following channels: display, programmatic, video, paid social, OTT
Must have experience working in a Marketing and Communications Agency.
Google Ads or Analytic, IAB, Facebook, and other media certification a plus
Experience with online marketing metrics such as ROI, click-through rate, cost-per-
click, conversion rate, average order size, etc.
Superior communication skills, both internal and client facing.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams.
Effective time management as well as strong organization skills and attention to
detail.
Ability to monitor and adhere to budgets and schedules.
Strong interest in technology and digital marketing.
In-depth understanding of agency processes.
Exceptional analytic, project management skills, writing and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Demonstrate Working Knowledge and Expertise
