Cheers to an Amazing 2022

Greetings, my fellow Digital Marketers.

Today (or yesterday, depending on where in the world you’re at) being the last working day of the year, I thought to pen down a special note to our members, to all digital marketers, and everyone connected to the world of marketing that reads this.

2022 has been an amazing year for us at ADMARP. While we were mostly quiet in H1, a lot was going on behind the scenes at the Exco and Board level. We officially constituted the ADMARP Executive Committee and appointed 7 VPs into the Exco. In September, we relaunched ADMARP at a virtual event, you can watch the recap here. We also launched this new ADMARP website which serves as our central hub for information, resources, opportunities and membership management. I hope you’ve enjoyed it so far 🙂

In October, we kicked off the ADMARP corporate membership drive; even though it’s been there as a membership option, this is the first time we rolled out efforts to attract and onboarded corporate members. We have onboard a few corporates this year, including Eskimi, Collect.Africa, etc., with more waiting to be onboarded in January. I can’t wait to have them start enjoying the benefits of partnering with ADMARP. Our last virtual event, ADMARP Zoom-in, was powered by Eskimi as part of their corporate benefits.

As we go into 2023, we have a lot in store for our members and non-members. We’re working to ensure ADMARP is in a very good place to allow us conduct our maiden Exco elections in 2023. In the interim, I will be stepping aside as President. At our last Exco meeting, we appointed a new president via 90% vote in favour of our current VP of Partnerships, Stanislaus Martins. Stan will resume the office of ADMARP President from 1st January 2023 and I’m very excited about the future of ADMARP under his leadership, as he ushers us into the era of a member-driven association. I’ll stop here in order to allow our new President the opportunity to announce his programs for 2023 at his appointed time.

Let me apologize for breaking an end of year tradition at ADMARP – our predictions event. For reasons beyond our control, we’ve moved this to January and hope to deliver a very engaging session. While you await that, here’s an awesome list of predictions from my favourite marketing person, Prof. Galloway.

And finally, here’s to wishing you all a wonderful time for what’s left of the holidays, and a happy and prosperous New Year. I wish upon you growth, conversions, positive ROIs, career growth, new business launches, and most of all, a year full of smashed goals (ensure to set them).

Peace!
