Digital marketing professional, Rei Obaigbo has made history as the first ever Mrs Nigeria to make it to the semifinals of the Mrs World Pageant, a global beauty pageant for married women.
After emerging winner out of 35 other state Queens in the Mrs Nigeria contest in May of 2021, Rei Obaigbo went on to represent Nigeria at the Mrs World contest hosted at West Gates Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on 17th of December 2022.
Competing alongside her were 63 other contestants from across the world. The contest measured beauty, grace, ambition and intelligence as part of its criteria.
Although the crown was eventually secured by Mrs India, Mrs Nigeria won the judges over with her platform, running on environmentalism, advocacy, grace and ambition.
She dug into her Nigerian roots, competing with a beautiful Afro, à grand green gele, Ankara inspired gowns and traditional Edo attires.
In addition to this crowning achievement in representing Nigeria, Rei Obaigbo ACIM ANIMN ANIPR ARPA is the President of FIBIACI Nigeria Young Members council, the Nigerian chapter of a global real estate institution, that offers international internship programs and scholarships to its young members.
She is the CEO of OREIME group, she hosts The Gathering Africa, a bi-monthly spoken word event which gives back to the creative writing and art community, and she is on the environmentalism board for ECOPROLIVE, a waterway cleanup project. She is also a member of various other professional associations and community empowering groups. She remains humble and focused on her goals.
